Bio:
My work spans philanthropy, media, and nonprofit service delivery. My approach lives at the intersection of culture and care. I’ve led multi-million-dollar grantmaking portfolios, designed and launched national fellowship programs, and shaped the editorial voice of award-winning media platforms.
I’m Jasmine Ayana Sudarkasa, a cross-sector strategist who helps leaders turn values into action.
Prior to consulting, my professional path reflects this commitment:
From 2019 to 2021, I was a Program Fellow with the Effective Philanthropy Group at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, where I contributed to the foundation’s thinking on equity and effective philanthropy. I also designed and led a $15 million unrestricted anti-racist grantmaking initiative.
From 2021 to 2025, I translated community narratives into funding programs, and then empathy-centered media products; first, as the founding Executive Director of the Curve Foundation, and later as Chief Storyteller at Love Now Media.
I am a poet, musician, and author. I’m an oldest daughter, and the proud granddaughter of the late Dr. Niara Sudarkasa. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, and I bring a lifelong reverence for story, belonging, alchemy and possibility to everything I build.
Let’s make magic together ✨
